Not every business in United States charges Sales Tax. If you are a freelancer or small business below the registration threshold, or you are simply not registered, you need a clean invoice with no tax lines at all. This template does exactly that. When you are not registered for Sales Tax, usually because your turnover is below the registration threshold, or the sale is outside its scope. Check the current threshold with your tax authority.

What should I write instead of tax?

Many businesses add a short line such as "No sales tax charged." The generator can print it for you.

Can I switch to a tax invoice later?
